Caitlin Clark’s long-awaited reveal of her signature shoe is finally here. The sneakers feature a low-cut design with new tech and cushioning design to fit her style of play. Clark has been on of the game’s most popular athletes, ushering in a new era of WNBA fans. The new Nike Opticast upper features textured nodes that form the letter C and the number 2, a nod to her initials and jersey number. Beyond aesthetics, the Opticast nodes vary in height intentionally to reduce drag.

Additional design details include double-stacked Swoosh logos arranged to form her initials; her CC logo also appears on the tongue. Nike likes to hide messages on its footwear, and the Caitlin 1 is no different. Underfoot, you’ll find “Shoot More Threes,” “From Anywhere,” and “It was never a long shot.”
On the apparel front, Nike will release an 18-piece collection that utilizes the brand’s Standard Issue collection as well as the performance-minded Aerofit. Images have not yet been revealed. Read on below for preceding coverage.

The below was originally published on June 17th, 2026 before the official unveil:
Caitlin Clark has unveiled the Nike Caitlin 1. This massive headline comes after days of cryptic teasers on IG, where Clark changed her handle to @caitlin1 and showed glimpses of the sneaker via her profile picture. The Nike Caitlin 1 features a low-top Kobe-esque silhouette, not a huge surprise given Clark has been a leading torchbearer for Kobes in the WNBA in the lead-up to her signature model. Multiple ripples (sort of like the Nike KD 17) appear on the sides, while all-over “C” detailing covers the upper and sole, not unlike the massively successful Nike Ja 3. Medium-sized Swooshes are utilized, while Clark’s signature logo stamps the medial side of the midsole. The Nike Caitlin 1 is said to feature “never-before-used tech,” though full specs have not yet been announced as of this update.
Clark’s Instagram dump centers around the Nike Caitlin 1 “Racer Blue,” the model’s presumed rollout colorway expected to launch October 2026. Travis Scott is shown wearing a black colorway, and Clark also included a shot of insoles featuring friendship bracelet charms alongside a Santa Claus emoji, hinting at the theme behind her first-ever Christmas style. Other photos, namely Clark eating pizza and posing with puppies, hint at additional themes Nike might explore as the Caitlin 1 begins its journey.
The Nike Caitlin 1 releases October 2026 for $140 in unisex sizes. Rest assured we’ll be keeping a close eye on all Caitlin Clark happenings in the lead-up.

Original article published June 16th, 2026:
The rollout for Caitlin Clark’s debut Nike sneaker has officially begun. The Indiana Fever star has changed her Instagram handle to @caitlin1, essentially confirming the Nike Caitlin 1 name, and has been revealing small portions of the shoe through her profile picture. Combined with a few other factors, we have reason to believe a proper unveiling is coming very, very soon.
Caitlin Clark’s inaugural signature is Nike’s most important since… LeBron? We realize that’s a bold statement, but the effect this one woman has had on the WNBA’s meteoric rise cannot possibly be understated. Consider too that Sabrina Ionescu’s signature shoes have become extraordinarily popular across all levels of the game, and the potential for Caitlin’s to do the same is absoutely massive given her even greater star power.
It’s largely believed that Nike designer Ben Nethongkome (@benslamin), the mind behind recent hits like the A’One, Book 1, and Ja 3, has been given the enormous task of making the Caitlin 1 live up to its potential. The liberal use of Clark’s signature logo aligns well with Nethongkome’s philosophy of turning athlete hallmarks into what Nike calls “competitive advantages,” most evident in his work on the Ja 3. The Nike Caitlin 1 features an array of differently-scaled “C” logos throughout the upper and midsole, as well as multiple Swooshes that spell out her initials “CC” when perceived as intended.
We now have reason to believe a full unveiling is imminent. Nethongkome is currently in Indiana, and the timing of Clark’s Instagram switch-up suggests he’s not there for leisure. The Indiana Fever play two home games this week, one tonight against the Toronto Tempo and one Thursday against Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream. An official on-court unveiling during one of those games is very much in play. In any case, the Nike Caitlin 1 is expected to hit shelves in October 2026.
