WWE’s Current Stance on Holding Event at the White House Revealed

WWE’s Current Stance on Holding Event at the White House Revealed

WWE had some major names at UFC Freedom 250, but fans probably shouldn’t expect Monday Night RAW on the White House lawn next.

UFC Freedom 250 was already packed with WWE crossover energy. Triple H, Roman Reigns, Nick Khan, and Shane McMahon were all in attendance, and the broadcast even caught Triple H doing his signature finger point toward Reigns during the show. That naturally got people wondering if WWE could eventually run its own White House event.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, that is not in the cards right now. WWE would be open to the idea if the money made sense, but there are no current plans for a WWE White House show.

The UFC event itself took years of discussion and plenty of financial compromise to pull off. Dana White has also claimed UFC missed out on a lot of money by running the show at the White House, which makes the situation a lot less simple than just putting a ring on the lawn.

“TKO just finished up UFC Freedom 250 this past weekend, after years of discussion, and plenty of compromise financially. However, it doesn’t appear that WWE will be doing that any time soon, despite their relationship with Donald Trump. Sources tell Wrestlevotes Radio on Fightful Select that a WWE White House show isn’t in the cards, although it’s something WWE would be open to if the financials made sense. UFC President (and notorious truth teller?) Dana White has claimed the UFC missed out on a lot of money by running the show at the White House.”

So at the end of the day, WWE may have sent Triple H, Roman Reigns, and Nick Khan to the event, but that does not mean a WWE version is coming next and fans shoudn’t be holding their breath on this one.

Bottom line, UFC got its White House moment. WWE got some crossover shine from being there. But unless the financials line up, fans shouldn’t expect WWE to follow UFC onto the White House lawn anytime soon.
