WWE has put Danhausen front and center as a “poster boy” for the July 18 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, emanating from Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The recent signee became linked with the city after a series of events that saw Danhausen “curse” the New York Knicks during the NBA Playoffs, only to “uncurse” them a short time later.
Since then, the Knicks went on a large winning streak that (setting aside a Game 3 loss in the Finals) took the NBA franchise to their first championship since 1973.
As a nod to Danhausen’s “assistance” in bringing the Knicks to a championship victory, WWE calls for fans to “join the uncursed” on its featured graphic for the show, which takes place during Fanatics Fest NYC weekend.
With several current players and legendary alumni already scheduled for the convention, there is an expectation that the Knicks will have representation at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
