On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Devran Aydin will step into the ring for the first time. He will represent Fight IQ at the Weesp Wedstrijden in the 64kg Kickboxing Youth Class.At just 16 years old, Devran is ready to take the next step in his martial arts journey.
Who Is Devran Aydin?
Devran was born and raised in Amsterdam. He is of Turkish descent. Before starting martial arts, he played football for seven years. Since then, he has dedicated himself to training. He has spent the last two years training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. In addition, he has trained kickboxing and MMA for one and a half years. After months of hard work, he is ready for his first fight. Together with Team Nibte and his teammates at Fight IQ, he has prepared for this moment.
Preparing for His First Fight
“I’m nervous because it’s my first fight, but I have a lot of confidence and I’m ready,” says Devran. For him, this fight is about more than one result. It marks the start of a bigger journey. His dream is to reach the highest levels of MMA. Therefore, he sees this bout as an important first step. What motivates him every day is his desire to improve. He wants to become the best version of himself. In addition, he credits his family and teammates for helping him grow as an athlete. When asked about his goal, his answer is simple:
To give everything I have and show that this is the beginning of something very big.
