WWE SmackDown tonight went down at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri. This was a big night for the company as they continued to set the stage for their next huge show in Saudi Arabia.
Carmelo Hayes vs. Ricky Saints went down this week on SmackDown with a lot on the line. The winner would get a shot at the United States Title at Night of Champions.
Both Saints and Hayes were looking to make their mark on the main roster. Although Hayes has experienced some success, Saints is still trying to gain a foothold on the blue brand. This week, Saints made a big statement.
This match went down midway through SmackDown’s second hour, and fans were on the edge of their seats to find out who would get a shot at Trick Williams’ championship.
This match stretched through a commercial break, and neither competitor wanted to give an inch. Trick Williams made it clear that he didn’t care who won the match because he was very confident that he would retain his title. In the end, Ricky Saints won the match, which put off the eventual collision between Williams and Hayes even longer.
WWE Night of Champions will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Riyadh will host another big premium live event for the company, which will continue WWE’s relationship with Riyadh Season.
