Former Dolphin underage player Charlie O’Shea was today named as one of the eight players joining the Munster Academy ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Charlie went on to CBC, he played on the losing side in the 2023 + 2024 Munster Schools Cup final, but as captain lifted the cup in 2025.

He played for Dolphin in the clubs win of the South Munster U18.5 Open Cup in 2024.

He earned 2 Ireland U19 cap’s against France and played in all 5 games in Ireland’s U20 6 Nations in 2026- he will be remembered for his superb penalty kick from the half way line against England which essentially won the game for Ireland.

Charlie made 15 AIL appearances for UCC this season.
