Revolutionary technology to debut at Harlem Eubank vs David Papot

On July 18, Gladius is set to launch in the boxing world for the very first time as Harlem Eubank takes on David Papot.

Eubank vs Papot is set to take place at the Copper Box Arena in London, with DAZN broadcasting the event while utilising the groundbreaking technology of Gladius.

Gladius is a brand-new performance intelligence platform that uses video, audio, sensors and volumetric capture to provide real-time data for viewers.

Some of the primary new features fans will appreciate include instantaneous data regarding punch power, fighter speed and the impact of different shots.

Gladius will also reveal fatigue metrics and information regarding different punch combinations.

The platform will present ‘Matrix-style’ 360-degree replays of key moments in the fight, allowing bouts to be viewed from previously unseen angles.

One of the most exciting pieces of technology the company brings is its digital gumshield system, allowing the audience to understand both the impact and precise location of each punch as it lands.

The fight-night experience will also be enhanced through audio, as Gladius’ AI Audio system will amplify the sounds of punches and project them throughout the Copper Box Arena.

Gladius CEO Oliver Hickey revealed his excitement about entering the boxing world.

“This is the beginning of a new era of combat sports. Gladius creates a single, trustworthy source of truth by intelligently combining video, volumetric capture, audio, and wearable sensors.

“On July 18th, fans will see every punch’s power, speed, and impact in real time, with Matrix-style volumetric replays and insights that turn raw action into compelling understanding.

“We believe we are building the definitive infrastructure for the future of sport.”

MF Pro Co-Founder Kalle Sauerland also offered an insight into the partnership with Gladius.

“We’re proud to partner with Gladius for this groundbreaking event. Boxing has always been a sport of heart and skill, but Gladius elevates it with data that fans have never had access to before.

“Harlem Eubank is the perfect fighter to showcase this technology – a dynamic talent whose performance will come to life like never before.”

Eubank, who overcame Josh Wagner in November, commented on his intentions for July 18, insisting he is a world-level operator and expressing his desire to stop his French opponent.

“On July 18, live on DAZN, I will remind the sport that I am a world-level operator.

“David Papot is more than a gatekeeper to the top of the welterweight division; he is a proven threat to anyone at 147lbs.

“But I plan to dispatch this challenge in devastating and conclusive fashion, sending a warning shot to the champions in my weight class.

“Thanks to my promoters, MF Pro, who are working with Gladius on this event and bringing some really interesting ideas and concepts for the viewers on DAZN.”
