It’s 2026, and we got a Scotland World Cup victory before we got Grand Theft Auto VI.
However, it seems like Rockstar Games’ much-anticipated open-world action title is actually going to release on 19th November this year, with the gaming giant revealing that pre-orders will go live on 25th June across digital storefronts and ‘selected retailers’.
The game’s collage-style cover art was also unveiled, keeping alive a series tradition first introduced in Grand Theft Auto III.
The lead protagonists, Jason and Lucia, are prominently featured at the top centre, alongside a variety of vehicles, including a helicopter, a speedboat and a sports bike evading a cop car. Standard GTA fare, then, with a special mention for the scissor-doored Lamborghini Aventador facsimile (more uncanny valley-style cars were spotted in the game’s initial trailer, too).
For vehicular video game fans like the Traxion team, Rockstar has already teased the inclusion of advanced car modification, dirt bike racing, and multi-environment car chases, which we hope to cover more expansively in future.

First announced in December 2023, the open-world crime game was originally set to release in late 2025, before being delayed to May 2026. Last year, the release was pushed back again until November 2026.
Pricing information was not confirmed, but more details should be revealed when pre-orders go live, alongside, hopefully, a new trailer.
