Anthony Di Marco of Daily Faceoff: The Philadelphia Flyers are interested are not shopping winger Owen Tippett, but teams are calling. He’s got six years left at $6.2 million.
Sources say that if the Flyers were to move Tippett, they’d want to do a ‘hockey trade’ and not for futures. A source didn’t say a deal involving Tippett and Buffalo Sabres Bowen Byram wouldn’t be something the Flyers would be interested in at this time.
The Boston Bruins, Minnesota Wild, and Utah Mammoth are the among the teams that have some interest in Tippett.
NHL Rumors: How Active Will the New York Rangers Be This Offseason?
A Trevor Zegras extension should eventually get done
Anthony Di Marco of Daily Faceoff: Trevor Zegras’ agent, Pat Brisson, has been busy dealing with Dylan Larkin and Elias Pettersson, and contract talks with the Philadelphia Flyers have been held up a little bit.
A seven or eight-year deal could eventually get done in the $8.5 to $9.5 million range.
Quick Hits on Tuch, Mantha, McMann, Arvidsson, Tarasenko, Roslovic, Bobrovsky, Kane, Shea, and Greer
Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic: Pending UFAs that scored 20 or more goals this past season: Alex Tuch (33), Anthony Mantha (33), Alex Ovechkin (32), Bobby McMann (29), Viktor Arvidsson (25), Vladimir Tarasenko (23), Darren Raddysh (22) and Jack Roslovic (21).
NHL Rumors: Kings, Ducks, and the Canadiens
Alex Tuch is likely going to market, but the door isn’t shut on a Sabres return.
The 31-year-old Mantha is likely looking for a four-year deal, and could get something in the $5 to $6 million range.
The 30-year-old McMann continues to talk with the Seattle Kraken. There is a mutual interest.
Will the Boston Bruins and 33-year-old Arvidsson find a term that they’re both comfortable with?
It’s likely the 34-year-old Tarasenko goes to market, but there are still lots of moving parts in Minnesota.
29-year-old Roslovic is likely going to free agency, but the Oilers really like him.
Have no idea how the Sergei Bobrovsky – Florida Panthers situation will play out. He’ll be 38-years-old in September. Wonder if the Panthers will turn to Connor Hellebuyck if they don’t re-sign Bobrovsky. The Winnipeg Jets would want a second-line center as part of the package, and the price may end up being too high for the Panthers.
The Detroit Red Wings would like to bring Patrick Kane, but it’s not known if he wants to return. He does want to play next season.
The Pittsburgh Penguins can’t do the term that 29-year-old defenseman Ryan Shea can get on the open market.
Defenseman Ryan Kesselring had asked for a trade from the Buffalo Sabres after a tough year. He was traded to the Sharks on Wednesday. He’s an RFA with arbitration rights and would be a UFA after next season.
NHL Rumors: DeBrusk, Pettersson, Raddysh, Carlson, Zacha, Hischier, Thomas, Benn, and Ovechkin
Can the Florida Panthers find the cap space to sign A.J. Greer? Put up 17 goals on the injury-riddled Panthers. His physical play will interest teams. Some think the Canadiens would be a fit, but that may not be the case as they’d need to do some roster maneuvering.
