On Friday, June 12th, WWE SmackDown took place at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island. The show was headlined by “The Mega Star” LA Knight, Finn Bálor, Jey Uso from The Judgment Day, and Royce Keys, who faced off in a King of the Ring Tournament Fatal 4-Way First Round Match.
In addition, the event featured a tag team match with Chelsea Green and WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton taking on B-Fab and Michin. There was also a segment featuring WWE United States Champion Trick Williams, rapper Lil Yachty, “Absolute” Ricky Saints, and Carmelo Hayes. AAA Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix defended his title against Axiom, while Undisputed WWE Champion “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn participated in another segment.
WWE SmackDown on June 12th also included a non-title match with WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella and Paige, facing off against Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid). Additionally, “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, Jade Cargill, WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Sol Ruca, and Lyra Valkyria competed in a Fatal 4-Way First Round Match for the Queen of the Ring Tournament.
According to a report from Fightful Select, a list of producers for each segment and match from this episode was shared, and the show was internally titled “Cody Rhodes Island.”
