It will be an all-American final at the Terra Wortmann Open when Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe battle for the title on Sunday afternoon.

Fritz is completely dominating head-to-head series 7-1. He has won seven in a row over Tiafoe, most recently prevailing 4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the 2024 U.S. Open semifinals. Four of Fritz’s seven victories have come in straight sets.

Speaking of seven in a row, Fritz also defeated Zverev for a seventh consecutive time on Saturday. The world No. 9 battled back from a set down to beat the French Open champion 6-7(4), 6-4, 7-5. That result was preceded by victories over Zizou Bergs, Fabian Marozsan, and Ben Shelton — the latter 6-7(5), 7-6(8), 7-6(3). Fritz is an unbelievable 30-5 on grass dating back to the start of 2024 and he is bidding for his sixth title on this surface.

Tiafoe is no slouch on grass, himself. The world No. 26 won the Stuttgart title in 2023 and has reached at least the third round at Wimbledon four times, including a five-set loss to Carlos Alcaraz at that stage in 2024. Tiafoe is 9-2 in his last 11 matches, with a fourth-round performance at Roland Garros, a quarterfinal showing in Stuttgart, and Halle victories over Flavio Cobolli, Sho Shimabukuro, Felix Auger-Aliassime (saved five match points), and Daniel Altmaier.

As well as Tiafoe is playing, Fritz is simply on a different level on grass. The No. 5 seed remains well rested after missing almost all of the clay-court swing and he has absolutely owned Tiafoe in the head-to-head, so count on Fritz lifting the trophy.

Pick: Fritz in 2
