I tried to include a wide range of different bicycles to show the breadth of bikes that exist for all sorts of people.
I decided to make it a downloadable pdf and call it the “big book of bikes”, and I wanted to include lots of different kinds of bicycles that are available, some more obscure and some that we might see every day on your commute.
Even including fantastical make believe bikes. i got this idea from the “Amphibious bicycle” which at first i didn’t believe it was real. It made me think that bicycle design could only b le limited by the imagination.
Through this book i wanted for kids (and adults) to look further than just the lines for colouring and to be able to become designers of their own inventions.
The more bicycle styles I included, the more I realised there were so many more than I thought from touring bicycles for big adventures to ‘Beer bikes’ designed for days out in cities doing a slightly ridiculous but possibly memorable activity.
