We’re excited to announce that Ben Chapman has signed up to play for the club this coming season.
Telling us about Ben, a hooker who joins us from Doncaster, Blackheath Rugby’s Head Coach Tom Stradwick says “Ben joins us as a dynamic hooker who thrives on the physical side of the game. His accuracy at the set piece and work rate around the park will be a big asset to us. We’re very pleased to have him at Blackheath and look forward to him hitting the ground running.” Ben is equally excited to be joining Blackheath, and says “I can’t wait to get started with Blackheath, the people, the history, the way they play, along with the chance to keep playing in the Champ is exciting. Looks like a great group to be part of 🔴⚫️”
On the new signing, Russell Ticehurst, Managing Director, says “Ben joins Club having had spells at Ampthill and, most recently, Doncaster but is now moving back down south nearer to where he began his rugby at Crowborough RFC, then becoming 1st XV Captain at Skinners School, Tunbridge Wells. He left Cardiff University for Ampthill but now he’s coming to Blackheath where we look forward to him adding his experience to the squad.”
