Giannis Antetokounmpo was finally traded to the Miami Heat. The speculation was tiresome in the last months. Twitter and other social media sites had multiple stories from real and speculative experts. The story truly became a soap opera almost like the Jimmy Butler breakup with the Heat.
Giannis will be on a better team
Many speculate that Giannis will be part of a similar team (as bad as Milwaukee.) But, the Heat have Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins and Norman Powell (the Bucks had younger, inexperienced players.) Nikola Jovic is still with the Heat and Bobby Portis (included in the trade with Giannis.)

The Heat’s power rotation will be formidable and their experience on the wing is complemented by youth. Pelle Larsson is a two-way player that doesn’t mind contact in driving to the basket. Dru Smith is “the Heat’s Iron Man” point guard that is a capable defender with physical tendencies.

Milwaukee got the best deal
The counter speculation in the Giannis trade discussion was from Boston. But Milwaukee got the best deal from the Heat. They get a young center in Kel’el Ware that wants to grow. Tyler Herro is an experienced guard that can immediately boost scoring. Jaime Jaquez Jr. is a physical power forward who will become an All-Star because of his ability to make plays.
The Bucks also get draft picks from the Heat. Those draft picks though, will have to undergo the long process of getting the young players ready to be serviceable professionals. The Boston deal would’ve netted Jaylen Brown but little much else.
The Heat remain the best franchise in South Florida
The South Florida area now has two of the top international stars in sports. Lionel Messi plays soccer for Inter Miami FC MLS team and now Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Panthers and the Hurricanes football team will compete for fans viewership but the Heat remain at the top.
Comments on social media during the Giannis trade discussion was that he wanted to be somewhere warm (which worked against New York and Boston.) Heat media and Inter Miami media should immediately begin to shoot content for both players on boats in Biscayne Bay and on Miami Beach.
Pat Riley got a new star and Giannis no doubt, will be anxious to show the world that he is still a dynamic player.
