Scotland will be represented at the Antrim Coast Half Marathon later this year.

The event takes place in Northern Ireland on Sunday 23 August.

We are delighted to name eight athletes to run for Scotland that day following a selection process as per our International Handbook.

Fife AC and Cambuslang Harriers are well-represented with each of those clubs having two athletes selected.

Women:

Katrina Ballantyne (Leeds); Stephanie Pennycook (Fife AC); Natasha Philips (Dundee Hawkhill Harriers); Annabel Simpson (Fife AC)

Men:

Kevin Campbell (Cambuslang Harriers); Andrew Fyfe (Edinburgh AC); Hamish Hickey (Central AC); Ryan Thomson (Cambuslang Harriers)

Congratulations to all those selected and to their families, coaches and clubs.

There is a 5k event on the same day at the Antrim event. We are planning to select four women and four men in July and will announce in due course.

Thanks to the Road Running and Cross Country Commission for supporting these international opportunities.
