Who’s The Better XC Racer?

Who’s The Better XC Racer?

This year’s UCI points leader vs. last year’s double World Cup XC champion

In the latest UCI Elite Men’s Cross-country rankings, France’s Luca Martin has moved way ahead of America’s Christopher Blevins. Martin is currently ranked first in the latest UCI rankings, while Blevins has dropped to 31st place.

Blevins dominated World Cup XC racing last year, winning the World Cup Series titles in both the Cross-country Olympic (XCO) and Cross-country Short Track (XCC) divisions.

However, this year, Luca Martin has emerged as the top rider in cross-country racing.

Luca may have to look for another team, though, since his current sponsor is Cannondale, and Cannondale just announced that they’re ending their sponsorship of the Cannondale Factory Race Team.

We thought it would be fun to compare the race records of the two riders using mtbdata.com, which lets you compare any two riders you choose.

The website finds all the events where both riders competed in the same  category, then shows how they both finished, putting the better placing in green. The site also gives you a percentage comparison of their matches that shows what percentage of the time each rider has beat the other one.

Here’s what the website showed us for Luca Martin and Christopher Blevins:
