This might be the closest we will ever get to someone cycling a bike down a high-fashion runway.

What is the hot accessory this upcoming fashion season? A Louis Vuitton Dogma F, obviously. On the second night of the SS27 Men’s Fashion Week in Paris, Pharrell Williams rolled out a complete set of men’s looks, including one very notable two-wheeled accessory.
One of the models strutted down the sandy runway—outdoor activities were the background theme—with a brown and black Louis Vuitton branded Pinarello Dogma F over his shoulder. Despite the bike being a high-performance model that appeared to have all its parts ready to ride, its performance did not quite lean all the way into the cycling motif, as the bike wasn’t pedaled down the runway.
Nevertheless, seeing a bike slung over the shoulder of a high-fashion model at the biggest week in men’s fashion was still enough of a moment to catch fire online. Rarely do the worlds of high-fashion and high-performance cycling mesh on such a high profile. Yet, under the stylish eye of super-producer and fashion icon Pharrell Williams, the Louis Vuitton Pinarello collaboration did just that.

“The bicycle transforms one of the most successful racing styles ever created into an extraordinary expression of both innovation and savoir-faire,” Pinarello said in a statement, “Representing the ultimate meeting point between elite sport and high-end luxury.
The collaboration between Louis Vuitton, Pharrell Williams (who is the Men’s Creative Director at the French fashion brand), and Pinarello uses the brand’s highest-grade TorayCa M40X carbon fiber construction to go along with the brown matte finish, leather LV branded contact points, and a chrome and bar stem.
To finish the bike off, the CarbonWorks Mach 7580 TSV2 wheels add more distinctive looks to the bike with its tri-spoke construction, Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 with a gold chain, CeramicSpeed OSPW Aero System, and Continental GP5000 tires to top it off. Even with the bespoke materials and extra paint, the bike weighs in at 7.3 kgs (16.1 pounds) including pedals.

The model, to keep things cohesive, wore a full-length skinsuit with Louis Vuitton branding. The full leg coverage is a bit out of the ordinary for a cycling kit (as were the beachy lace-up sneakers), but compared to past efforts to incorporate cycling in high fashion, this Louis Vuitton X Pinarello Dogma F is one of the most interesting collaborations.
Ultimately, this synergy shouldn’t be too surprising, as Pinarello used to be owned by the LVMH fashion conglomerate that includes Louis Vuitton. LVMH bought a majority stake in the Italian bike brand, yet kept in place the central team headed by Fausto Pinarello as CEO, as the brand was in the midst of a purple patch with the peak of the Team Sky dynasty.
Pinarello was sold in 2023 to South African billionaire Ivan Glasenberg, who added Pinarello to his collection of assets that includes cycling company Q36.5. Nevertheless, the relationship seems to have ended on good enough terms as Louis Vuitton returned to Pinarello to be the platform for its super bike collaboration.
