3 rested Indians who could struggle to get back into the Indian T20I Team

India’s current T20I Team that played against Bangladesh was too good. In both the departments, the team looked complete. With Gautam Gambhir likely to have a clear demarcation between squads for different formats, we could now see that happening because of the depth of resources. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of three rested Indians who could struggle to get back into the Indian T20I Team.

1) Shubman Gill

Yes, he is the vice-captain of the side but as a player in the T20 format, Gill is yet to have a defining period. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal have already done that.

Now, Sanju Samson is also in top form and he can be one of the openers for the future. Of course, Abhishek Sharma is also in the mix. Hence, it is a bit hard for Gill.

2) Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant is one of the rested Indians who could struggle to get back into the Indian T20I Team. In the T20 format, Pant has just not been able to do well. While he has produced some good knocks, the consistency was missing.

Sanju Samson is now doing well and there is a chance that even if Sanju does not get the slot as an opener, he could slot in at No.3. This is actually Rishabh Pant’s batting slot in T20Is ever since he made his comeback. Therefore, Pant could struggle to get a spot again.

3) Mohammed Siraj

Siraj has been very average in the T20 format. Since he also bowls in the other formats, India could consider giving an opportunity to the other pacers.

With Nitish Reddy’s rise, there is another medium-pace bowling all-rounder. Mayank Yadav also made a strong debut. Therefore, Siraj might not even be considered for T20Is in the coming months.
