Welcome back to The Game Haus’s MLB Farm System Watch series. Today, we will look at who is standing out among the AL East prospects.
Farm System Watch will look at players who are top-30 prospects for their given team and have yet to make their major league debut.
Baltimore Orioles
Next Up: Enrique Bradfield Jr. (OF)
Current Level: AAA Norfolk
2026 Stat Line: 125AB/.224AVG/.657OPS
Bradfield Jr. is known for his speed. The kid can fly, both on the basepaths and patrolling the outfield. He is a contact hitter with not a ton of power, but his ability not to strike out, paired with his speed, should make him a shot at playing every day for a big league squad.
Top Prospect: Nate George (OF) [MLB #65]
Current Level: A+ Frederick
2026 Stat Line: 82AB/.293AVG/.738OPS
George is a solid all-around player. He boasts raw power, speed, and decent plate discipline. He is an aggressive player, both in the box and on the basepaths. His power at the plate will continue to develop alongside his stellar outfield defense.
Boston Red Sox
Next Up: Mikey Romero (INF)
Current Level: AAA Worcester
2026 Stat Line: 239AB/.234AVG/.641OPS
Romero has changed his game since being drafted, adding weight and turning himself into more of a power threat. He has a swing-happy plate approach, which tends to produce a lot of whiffs. Scouts applaud Romero’s high baseball IQ, and it serves him well playing anywhere in the infield.
Top Prospect: Franklin Arias (SS) [MLB #10]
Current Level: AA Portland
2026 Stat Line: 221AB/.321AVG/.978OPS
Arias has very good hands and bat skills, helping him strike out at a very low clip. The righty has added some strength and bat speed in the last couple of seasons, which helps with his overall lack of power. More of a defensive standout, he has reliable range at short.
New York Yankees
Next Up: Carlos Lagrange (RHP) [MLB #72]
Current Level: AAA Scranton
2026 Stat Line: 61.1IP/3.96ERA/1.29WHIP
Lagrange’s standout pitch is his triple-digit fastball that can top out at 103 mph. His command has been an issue throughout his career, though it has been improving as of late. He has a few secondary pitches to play off his fastball, the most effective being his changeup.
Top Prospect: George Lombard Jr. (INF) [MLB #18]
Current Level: AAA Scranton
2026 Stat Line: 233AB/.258AVG/.833OPS
Lombard Jr. is described as a fluid player in all aspects of his game. He is a reliable defender in the middle infield with range and a good arm. Lombard Jr. has struggled to hit the fastball in his career.
Tampa Bay Rays
Next Up: Brody Hopkins (RHP) [MLB #80]
Current Level: AAA Durham
2026 Stat Line: 58.2IP/4.91ERA/1.67WHIP
Hopkins has opened eyes with his stuff. The righty can hit triple-digits with his fastball, and has a full arsenal that features a curve, sweeper, cutter, and change. He has had trouble staying consistent in his minor league tenure and has worked on maintaining control over his offerings.
Top Prospect: Theo Gillen (OF) [MLB #40]
Current Level: AA Montgomery
2026 Stat Line: 223AB/.341AVG/1.029OPS
Gillen has been a solid hitter during his time in the minors after an injury-plagued amateur campaign. He does a good job of not expanding the zone and, because of that, gets on base at a relatively high clip. Gillen is still adjusting defensively to the move from the infield to the outfield.
Toronto Blue Jays
Next Up: RJ Schrek (OF)
Current Level: AAA Buffalo
2026 Stat Line: 183AB/.230AVG/.784OPS
Schrek grades out as a solid player in every facet of the game. Being a lefty with a great on-base percentage has proven valuable, and it’s what makes him one of the prospects close to their big league debuts with the Jays.
Top Prospect: JoJo Parker (SS) [MLB #29]
Current Level: A Dunedin
2026 Stat Line: 218AB/.248AVG/.807OPS
Parker is an infielder known for his bat. He already has a powerful swing, but being only 19-years-old, the Blue Jays have aspirations of adding even more muscle and power to Parker’s game. Toronto sees him as a potential third baseman in the bigs.
