The Board of Control for Cricket in India shared a special video featuring the young players discussing their selection for the trip as they left for Zimbabwe on July 2, Tuesday. The player from Assam expressed his excitement about joining the team and traveling with them, something he had always imagined as a child. Parag mentioned that although the team is new, there are many familiar players on the squad whom he has played with before.
“Since I was a child, I’ve always wanted to travel this way. We often play cricket, but there are other experiences too, like traveling with the team and wearing the Indian team uniform.”
“I was so excited that I forgot where I put my passport and phone. I didn’t lose them, just misplaced them. But now I have them. It’s a new team, almost completely new. There are many new players in the Indian squad, but also some familiar ones since I’ve played with them before,” Parag said.
Parag mentioned that he feels a strong bond with Zimbabwe and he’s excited about the opportunity to play there for the first time.
“Ever since I was a child from Assam, I’ve had this dream. It’s now become a reality, and I’m filled with joy. Zimbabwe holds a special place in my heart. When I step onto the field for my first game there, it will be a memorable moment for both the field and me, something very personal,” Parag explained.
