Randy Orton Pulled From Advertised Appearance Amid WWE Absence

Randy Orton’s absence from WWE continues to raise questions after the veteran star was quietly removed from an upcoming Fanatics Fest NYC appearance.

While no official reason has been provided, the timing has sparked fresh curiosity as The Viper remains off WWE television.

The cancellation comes just weeks before the fan convention in New York City, where Orton had originally been advertised to meet fans.

With no return date confirmed, the latest development has only added another layer to his ongoing hiatus. It seems fans will have to wait a little longer before hearing those familiar voices in their heads.

Randy Orton removed from Fanatics Fest lineup

Fanatics Fest announced on June 26 that Orton is “no longer able to appear” at the event next month. The convention has offered refunds or exchanges to fans who purchased tickets specifically for his appearance. Moreover, no explanation for the change was given.

Orton has not appeared on WWE programming since WrestleMania 42, where he unsuccessfully challenged Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. After the match, Orton attacked the WWE Champion, ending the night with a brutal assault before disappearing from television.

Reports in May suggested Orton had been dealing with back issues. However, the 14-time world champion brushed aside concerns on social media.

“Lmao just milking it guys, leave me alone I’m trying to enjoy my summer before I come back and take that #15.”

Outside of wrestling, Orton has remained visible in small moments. These include attending his daughter’s graduation ceremony during his time away from the ring.

For now, there is still no confirmed explanation linking the Fanatics Fest cancellation to his WWE absence, reported back issue, or another scheduling conflict. Bianca Belair and Drew McIntyre were also announced as no longer attending the event.

With SummerSlam season approaching, Orton’s status remains one of WWE’s biggest unanswered questions. Until WWE or Orton provides further clarity, fans have to keep watching and wait for the Apex Predator’s next strike.
