GUNTHER Gets Into Physical Altercation With Nick Aldis After WWE Night of Champions

GUNTHER did not just lose the Undisputed WWE Championship match at Night of Champions — he completely lost it afterwards.

After Sami Zayn shocked everyone by beating Cody Rhodes and GUNTHER in the Triple Threat main event to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion, GUNTHER ran into Nick Aldis on the Night of Champions post-show, and things got ugly fast. The Ring General blamed Aldis for what happened, got in his face, and eventually grabbed him by the collar before both men had to be separated.

“Aldis, are you happy now? Is that what you wanted? You screwed me over in Europe. You screwed me over here. Shut up when I’m talking to you. What is it with you?”

Aldis immediately warned GUNTHER not to put his hands on him, but GUNTHER kept going. He accused Aldis of having a personal issue with him and then took a nasty shot at his wrestling career, saying Aldis was jealous because he could never reach GUNTHER’s level.

“What is it with you? Is it personal? You know what it is? You’re jealous. You would love to be in my position. You’re jealous because you’re a failed wrestler. You’re failed. You’re miserable.”

That was enough for Nick Aldis, who fired back after GUNTHER grabbed him and things nearly went completely off the rails.

“Hey, don’t touch me. Get the f*** off me!”

The blowup came after a chaotic title match where GUNTHER looked close to winning more than once. He powerbombed Cody Rhodes through announce tables, locked him in a sleeper hold that could not be broken by the ropes because of Triple Threat rules, and nearly had the match won before Sami Zayn kept finding ways to survive. In the end, Cody hit a double Crossroads on GUNTHER, but Sami rolled Cody up and stole the pin to finally become Undisputed WWE Champion.

GUNTHER had already believed he was robbed before Night of Champions, first at Clash in Italy and again on SmackDown after Sami’s involvement cost him another title opportunity. So when he came up short again in Saudi Arabia, he clearly saw Aldis as the man responsible for the whole mess.

Now the question is what Aldis does next. GUNTHER put his hands on a WWE authority figure, insulted him to his face, and made it obvious he is not done chasing the title. Sami Zayn may be the new champion, but GUNTHER’s meltdown might be the next big problem WWE has to deal with.

What do you think about GUNTHER grabbing Nick Aldis after Night of Champions? Should Aldis punish him, or does GUNTHER have a point about being screwed over? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
