Argentina defeated Jordan 3-1 at Dallas Stadium and will play Cape Verde in the Round of 32.
Argentina’s match against Cape Verde will be played at Miami Stadium on July 3, 2026, which is next Friday.

Argentina took the lead in the 19th minute with an incredible free kick from Giovani Lo Celso. The Argentine midfielder scored with his left foot and curled past Yazzeed Abulaila.

In the 31st minute, Lautaro Martinez converted a penalty kick to double Argentina’s lead. Julian Alvarez was kicked in the face in the box, which led to the penalty kick.
In the second half,Lionel Messicame on the pitch in the 60th minute, and 20 minutes later, Messi scored again. This time, Messi scored a free kick to score Argentina’s third goal of the night and his 6th goal of the 2026 World Cup.
