WWE NXT: The Great American Bash 2026 went down at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. In the main event of the night Lola Vice defended the NXT Women’s Championship against Kendal Grey.
After weeks of chaos in the women’s division, Grey finally earned her chance to compete for the brand’s top prize. She walked into the match with a lot of momentum, and her WrenQCC partner had already retained her Women’s WWE Speed Title against Ariana Grace earlier in the night.
The rivalry started when Vice and Izzi Dame brawled into ringside during a match between Grey and Kelani Jordan, accidentally taking out an injured Wren Sinclair. That led to an argument over who deserved the next title shot, with Vice first giving Dame an opportunity before successfully retaining the championship.
Grey refused to let her chance slip away. She defeated Jordan on the June 9 episode of NXT to officially become the number one contender, punching her ticket to The Great American Bash. Everything came down to this match as it closed out the premium live event.
This match saw Lola Vice take control of the match after they felt each other out. The show cut to a commercial break after that for a bit as the two continued their battle in picture-in-picture.
This match went all over the ring and ringside area. Kendal nailed Shades of Grey outside of the ring, but she couldn’t get the win. Then they returned to the ring where the match continued for a bit. Lola Vice returned fire by latching on her own chokehold, but Grey was able to reverse it back into her own submission.
Kendal Grey crashed and burned, and Lola Vice nailed a kick for a close near fall. Then, Lola locked in a guillotine choke. For a moment, it looked like a double pinfall might happen after they were both laid out by thunderous back elbows. In the end, Kendal Grey was able to get the clean pinfall and become the new NXT Women’s Champion.
