Golf News Roundup: June 27, 2026

In golf news this week are items from Superstroke, TRUE, MGI, ShotScope and more.

New Grips From SuperStroke

SuperStroke has two new releases.

The first is the REVL Element 4X club grip, a reduced-taper design with an enlarged lower-hand profile that simulates four extra wraps of tape, a setup meant to promote more even grip pressure and better clubface stability through impact.

The REVL Element 4X uses ACE material infused with cord in the upper hand and softer Genesis+ material in the lower hand, then finishes the package with SuperStroke’s ULTRA-TAC X-pattern texture for traction and feel. Standard, Mid Size, and Jumbo models sell for $9.99.

SuperStroke’s second item is the kind of limited-edition release that tends to sell out fast: a Red, White and Blue Tie Dye Zenergy putter grip timed to the Independence Day season and America’s 250th birthday celebration. The grip goes on sale June 29 in Pistol 2.0 and Tour 2.0 versions for $39.99 and includes the company’s enhanced SPYNE technology, multi-zone texturing, no-taper shape, and Tech-Port compatibility.

I’m a fan of Superstroke Grips:

Indeed, my gamer set now is 100% Superstroke gripped.

MGI Adds Rangefinder To Lineup

MGI Golf introduces the Sureshot PINLOC 7000 Series, a new family of laser rangefinders built around rapid target acquisition, compact design, and added convenience for players who want reliable numbers without overcomplication. The three-model lineup includes the 7000iM, the 7000iPM with Pulse Technology for target-lock confirmation, and the 7000iPSM, which adds a 1.69-inch external display and slope-adjusted yardages.

MGI says the series features its fastest optics yet, along with intelligent targeting software, a built-in rechargeable battery, and a magnetic case. Pricing starts at $229.

The launch suggests the company wants to be known for more than electric caddies by adding to their on-course technology for walking golfers. Their Zip Navigator electric trolley, which I reviewed, is great (MGI Zip Navigator Review).

Shot Scope Offers Lower Cost Launch Monitor

Shot Scope’s LM1 launch monitor aims to lower the barrier to entry into the launch monitor world, making data less intimidating, easier to use, and more affordable, while keeping the product portable and free from subscription fees.

At $199.99, the compact Doppler radar unit offers five key numbers—carry distance, total distance, ball speed, clubhead speed, and smash factor—without trying to bury golfers in advanced data they may never use.

Simplicity is the point. The LM1 is marketed as easy to set up, easy to read, fast to deliver results, and versatile enough for range sessions, on-course, speed training, and even net practice at home. It also stores session history and syncs via Bluetooth to the Shot Scope app, giving golfers a way to track trends and make smarter club and practice decisions over time.

The company’s goal was to make launch monitor data less intimidating, easier to use, and more affordable, while keeping the product portable and free from subscription fees.

Celebrate 4th of July with BIG MAX

BIG MAX is helping golfers celebrate Independence Day with a fantastic offer this 4th of July. And with this being an extra special anniversary, BIG MAX is offering $50 off one of it’s best-selling award winning golf bags.

I’ve done a couple of Big Max product reviews over the years and liked everything they made:

The Dri Lite Hybrid Tour 2 builds on the success of its predecessor, offering more storage, a refined design, and premium materials. With a truly hybrid design this ultra-lightweight bag is perfect for walking the course. A two point, padded shoulder strap, air channel technology and easy access pockets provide convenience and comfort, while water-resistance and the addition of SoftGuard PU material add protection from the elements.

But when you want a cart to take the strain, the bag offers a perfect ride through its dual-component floor and lowered stand that ensures the upper bag holder doesn’t interfere with connection to the cart or push cart. Detachable straps, eight spacious pockets and a leg lock mechanism complete the cart compatibility of this truly adaptable bag.

Priced at $229, the bag comes in four color options – including a patriotic Red, White & Blue.

Offer runs from 27th June to the 5th July

GolfN Offers Rewards For Playing

GolfN is positioning itself as more than a scoring app; it is trying to build a consumer rewards ecosystem around golf activity both on and off the course.

Users can earn rewards for playing rounds of golf, and for other golf-related activities in their daily life.

Founder and CEO Jared Phillips says the goal is simple: golfers should share in the value they create, whether they are playing a round, visiting a golf business, or engaging with the game in everyday life.

The company’s new Daily Grind feature expands that idea by letting users earn points through check-ins at golf-related businesses and locations, along with uploads like photos, reviews, and receipts.

GolfN says its community has now passed 100,000 golfers worldwide, with more than 100,000 rewards-eligible rounds logged and over $500,000 in golf equipment redeemed by members.

The company says it is trying to give smaller golf businesses a way to get discovered without having to outspend major brands. Phillips describes the platform as a middle ground between golfers and businesses: a place where players get rewarded and companies get exposure through a self-service, accessible ecosystem.

Club Champion Fitting Challenge

Club Champion has launched “The Fitting Challenge,” a limited-time promotion running June 23 through July 18, 2026, at U.S. fitting studios. The idea is straightforward: bring in your current club, or “gamer,” and let Club Champion’s fitters try to beat it in at least one measured category.

During the session, golfers are fitted using tour-grade launch monitor data and compared against their own baseline in carry distance, accuracy, and efficiency. If Club Champion’s recommended club outperforms the gamer in at least one category, the customer pays the normal fitting fee, unless they buy a custom Club Champion club, in which case the fitting fee is waived. If the gamer wins or ties across the board, the fitting fee is waived and the golfer receives a shaft credit of up to $450.

Founder Nick Sherburne said the company fits more than 100,000 golfers a year and is confident enough in its process to put real stakes behind the results. The challenge is open to new customers age 18 and older, and applies to drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, irons, and wedges. For iron fittings, golfers must bring a 6-iron as their gamer.
