John Cena Goes Bald for Second Hair Transplant Procedure

John Cena Goes Bald for Second Hair Transplant Procedure

John Cena is not hiding anything when it comes to his hair transplant journey, and now he has gone all in for round two.

Cena took to Twitter and revealed that he underwent a second FUE hair transplant procedure. The WWE legend also shared a photo of himself with his head shaved alongside his doctor, making it clear this next step was about getting the best results possible.

“Round 2 of FUE Treatment and this time I went all in for best possible results. Thank you @KenAndersonMD and the staff at Anderson Center for Hair for accompanying me on this journey!”

That is a pretty big deal, especially after Cena had already opened up about the work that goes into keeping his hair restoration results intact. This was not just a quick touch-up and keep-it-moving situation. Cena has been honest about the fact that the surgery is only one part of the whole deal.

While speaking to Inside the Ring, Cena explained how rough the first stage of recovery can be. The first two weeks are apparently the real test, because the scalp is still healing and even getting it wet is off the table.

“So it’s a surgery, right? The first 14 days are the most important—you can’t get it wet. It’s open wounds, your head swells, and as the swelling comes down, your skull looks a little bit different.”

Cena also revealed that his original transplant was tied to a movie role in Budapest. Still, the lesson he took from it went way beyond looking camera-ready. His doctor made it clear that if Cena did not take care of his scalp afterwards, the procedure would not mean much in the long run.

“I got the transplant to prepare for a movie in Budapest. I was walking with Chris Martin with an alien head. Honestly, the transplant is one thing—my doctor educated me on scalp care. The way he put it: ‘Okay, I’m you—you’re coming with me for a cavity, and I’ll fix your cavity, but if you don’t fix your habits, it won’t matter. So I’m going to teach you how to brush your teeth.’”

That turned into a daily routine Cena does not skip. He said he uses treatments and medication while also keeping an eye on basic things like hydration and healthier choices.

“So every day, without fail, I have a scalp care routine—red light therapy, vitamins, minoxidil, finasteride, all that stuff. Staying hydrated, just making good choices to keep what’s up there healthy.”

So there it is. John Cena got the first transplant, stuck to the routine, saw the progress, and still decided to shave it all down again for round two. The results may take time, but Cena clearly is not treating this like a one-and-done fix.
