AEW has announced that the World Title match between MJF and Mark Briscoe will be the opening match of this Wednesday’s Dynamite from San Diego.
Briscoe earned the shot when his team won the brutal Steel Cage match at AEW X NJPW: Forbidden Door 2026 on Sunday.
However, MJF was upset about the booking and questioned Tony Khan on social media.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has confirmed that he is going home after spending more than a month in the hospital.
The AEW commentator posted on social media on Tuesday, saying stay had come to a “grateful end.” He tweeted,
“Heading home tomorrow!
Over 30 days in the hospital come to a grateful end.
Count your blessings daily.”
Ross has not yet revealed the reason for his stay, but he had earlier missed AEW Double Or Nothing 2026 due to a fall. It’s unknown when Ross will resume his AEW commentary duties.
