The Toyota Cheetahs is pleased to announce several exciting additions to the player roster.
The latest signings combine proven experience, emerging talent, and long-term investment in the future of the Toyota Cheetahs, as the Toyota Cheetahs continue to build a competitive environment across both the senior and junior structures.
Leading the list of new arrivals on Wednesday, 1 July, is Springbok scrumhalf Faf de Klerk, who joins the Toyota Cheetahs from the Yokohama Canon Eagles in Japan. Renowned for his competitiveness, leadership and world-class game management, De Klerk brings a wealth of international experience and an invaluable presence to the squad.
Outside back Henry Immelman arrives from the Bulls. Comfortable across the back three, Immelman is a versatile and skilful player who offers attacking flair and composure under pressure.
The Toyota Cheetahs have also secured the services of loose forward Simon Miller from Japan’s Shizuoka Blue Revs. Miller is known for his physicality, work ethic and ability to contribute on both sides of the ball.
Another addition to the loose-forward stocks is Siya Ningiza, who joins from English club Ealing Trailfinders. Ningiza brings valuable international club experience and adds depth and athleticism to the back row.
Centre Kobus Janse van Rensburg will join the Toyota Cheetahs in January 2027 from Tuks. A promising midfielder, he has developed through one of South Africa’s strongest university rugby programmes and will add youthful energy to the backline.
