WWE NXT commentator Booker T has been away for a couple of weeks for undisclosed reasons but earlier today on his Hall of Fame podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer went into some detail on why he’s been missing in action and when to expect him back:
“For me, let’s get the elephant out of the room. People have been asking, you know, ‘Where has Booker T been?’ And I must say, man, I ain’t going to sit here and try to sugarcoat it or anything like that. Booker T has issues just like anybody else, and I have a huge family. I’m the youngest of eight.”
“When something happens in your family, family comes first. Everything stops. For me, I always said, being the youngest of the family, it’s my responsibility to make sure I step up and be there at all times. And for me, I had just been dealing with some family stuff that I had to take a step back and deal with it and then get back to work, because I cannot deal with things without working at the same time. It’s one of those things where I got to keep my mind going. But, nah, that’s all it’s been, man. I feel good. There’s nothing wrong with me. I’m fine. I’m perfectly fine. My health is great. I feel good but I’m getting back to work (Tuesday). I’ll be back at the desk with my man Vic Joseph, and we’re going to get out there and do it like it’s supposed to be done, have some fun.”
