France vs Sweden is the sixth of the 2026 FIFA World Cup round of 32 matches, as the pre-tournament favourites face off against a side who failed to win a single group match in their qualifying campaign for the tournament.
Graham Potter’s side qualified for the play-offs due to their performance in the UEFA Nations League and took full advantage, booking their place in this summer’s tournament.
Qualifying in 3rd in their group, behind Japan and the Netherlands, Sweden now face an uphill battle against one of the tournament’s strongest sides.
Milan duo Adrien Rabiot and Mike Maignan both start for Didier Deschamps’ side tonight, whilst Udinese midfielder Jesper Karlstorm starts for the Swedes.
Atalanta defender Isak Hien’s tournament is over, after a hamstring injury he suffered in the last match. Inter forward Thuram also misses out through a calf injury.
