Due to his failed time to lead the franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoffs, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are not looking like they are going to retain their captain KL Rahul. Rahul will now be playing as a senior batter in the upcoming mega auctions of IPL.
It has come to light that there are three players who are in the list of LSG’s retentions. West Indies’ wicketkeeper batter Nicholas Pooran will be retained for a generous amount since he was also a stand-in captain in one match of the previous edition.
The other two retentions are bowlers. Pacer Mayank Yadav will be getting a big deal. LSG may retain him for either Rs. 11 or 14 crore. Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi will also be retained. Bishnoi will get a significant increase in his earnings as he earlier got Rs. 4 crore as uncapped player.
