Sanju Samson created history by becoming the first cricketer from India to score two T20 international centuries in a row. On Friday, he scored a stunning century in the first T20 international against South Africa held in Durban. Notably, this century of Samson’s came after he had scored a magnificent 47-ball 111 in India’s previous T20 international match against Bangladesh. He reached his 100 within the 47-ball mark by 7 fours and 9 sixes. Samson also other record of the fastest T20I century scored by an Indian against South Africa is also in his records.

Following the announcement of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma’s retirements from T20I format, benefits of the T20I top – order batsman have emerged.
