After an embarrassing whitewash against New Zealand, India is no set to take Australia on their home grounds in a five-match Test series for Border-Gavaskar Trophy, set to begin November 22 in Perth.
The Indian team were playing an intra-squad match as a form of practice before the series opener, where most of the batters struggled to score.
According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, there was only one batter who could, in fact, score even a fifty. Indian star Yashasvi Jaiswal was the only batter to score a fifty in the intra squad match. Jaiswal was comfortable with the pace and the bounce which was being offered by the WACA ground.
He managed to score 52 runs before he got cut down as he edge the ball to second slip. Shubman Gill was also not far behind, as he had a good 42-run inning. Both Jaiswal and Gill had an aggressive start to their inning, but they gradually took a more cautious approach later on.
