Right after his knock of 161 runs in the opening Test f Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Yashasvi Jaiswal will enter the second Test against Australia as he aims to create history with aiming to continue his dream playstyle in 2024.
Jaiswal has had a record-breaking 2024 season, which has not just made him secure his place in Indian Test team, but also solidify his status as one of the best batters in world cricket. Jaiswal began the year with securing his name as the second ever Indian to score 700 runs in a series.
Now the 22-year-old has a chance to make a new record as he can become the first player in history to his 40 sixes in a single WTC series. He had smashed three sixes during his debut against West Indies, followed by 26 against England, and three at BGT series opener at Perth.
Jaiswal currently sits at top position with 38 sixes in the 2023-25 WTC cycle as he has surpassed Ben Stokes, who earlier had the highest record with 31 sixes.

During the Test in Perth, Yashasvi Jaiswal also became the second player in history of Test cricket who would convert every single century into a score of more than 150 runs. He also became the first Asian in history who has scored more than 1500 runs in Test cricket after playing 15 Test matches.
