Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj was spotted having a verbal exchange with Australia’s star batter Travis Head during Day 2 of the 2nd Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Siraj gave a fierce send-off to Head after the latter got dismissed.
Travis had scored 140 runs off 141 deliveries. His knock composed of 17 fours and 4 sixes. Head was looking in fine form before Siraj knocked him by hitting the stumps. A heated exchange happened and a few words were exchanged when Siraj gestured Head to move towards the dug-out.
“I said well bowled but he thought otherwise, slightly disappointed with what transpired but it what it is. If that’s how they got to represent themselves so be it” Head told the broadcasters.
“I’m slightly disappointed with how that transpired, with a couple of the past innings,” he added.
“It is what it is. If they want to react like that and that’s how they want to represent themselves, then so be it,” Head concluded.
Coming to the match, Indian team is currently crawling for runs as the batters have failed to build a solid partnership on Day 2. The stumps got called on Day 2 as India was at 128/5, trailing Australia by 29 runs.
