Thanksgiving was a fun day for Cincinnati Bengals fans. Despite the horror season so far, the team finally had star quarterback Joe Burrow back on the field. His much-anticipated return came at a time when making the playoffs is a complicated task, but he surely gives them a better chance.
Burrow arrived at the M&T Bank Stadium for his first game since Week 2. Excitement for his return was huge among fans. However, it was his outfit that caught the attention prior to the game, with many interesting and funny comments made.
NFL Fans Make Fun Of Joe Burrow For Pregame Outfit
Burrow has not played in any game since he injured his toe against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 2. Even though Jake Browning managed to win that game, Cincinnati has won just one of the next eight, sitting with a 3-8 record before Thanksgiving.
Browning played so poorly in some games that the Bengals felt compelled to make an intra-divisional trade for a quarterback. They added veteran Joe Flacco, but he also couldn’t do much playing along the worst defense in the league, according to our PFSN Defense Impact Metric.
As always, the return of a star player had the attention of fans from the moment he walked into the stadium. However, Burrow’s outfit was met with laughter as soon as he entered M&T Bank Stadium.

Not all hope was lost for the quarterback in his return, though. While this fan agrees that the clothes are bad, she at least complimented his hair, writing, “Cute hair, bad clothes.”

Naturally, Burrow showing up in special clothes also attracted comparisons to other quarterbacks known for their acts in the NFL. This fan, for example, joked about Burrow’s outfit, writing “he thinks he’s Caleb Williams.”

At least someone was positive about his choices. A hopeful fan, happy to see the quarterback returning, wrote, “The goofy outfit usually means he going off.”

The critics even added an international tone. This fan laughed at Burrow’s outfit, commenting, “Why can’t he dress normal. Looks like a housewife of Berlin or some s**t.”

It really wasn’t meant to be for the quarterback. Although they were excited, fans definitely did not agree with his choice of clothing. This one wrote “I love him sm but my god, he needs a better stylist.”

At the end of the day, the clothes turned out to be a lucky charm for Burrow, who played well in his return to the field. The Bengals upset the Baltimore Ravens on the road for 32-14, winning three out of three games when their starter was available.
With a 4-8 record after the win, making the playoffs is still unlikely. However, beating an AFC North opponent surely helps their quest, with the division still wide open. They don’t have any margin for error, but Burrow’s return at least offers a glimpse of hope.
