The Women’s Premier League (WPL) mini auction will see as many as 120 players go under the hammer, comprising of 91 Indians, 29 overseas and 3 players from the Associate Nations. A total of 82 uncapped Indian players and eight uncapped overseas players have registered themselves for the auction.
Gujarat Giants is the franchise that will head into the auction with the biggest budget of INR 4.4 crore. They need 4 players, including 2 overseas, from the mini auction.
UP Warriorz need to fill 3 slots while remaining franchises Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have 4 slots each to fill.
The Indian player who is expected to attract massive attention in the mini auction is Sneh Rana. Here base price is that of INR 30 lakhs.
On the other hand, overseas stars like West Indies’ Deandra Dottin and England’s Heather Knight are also expected to fetch massive prices in the WPL auction. The upcoming mini auction is set to be held on December 15.
