Frazer Clarke-Jeamie TKV separated by security at weigh in

Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV had to be pulled apart by security, as tensions boiled over ahead of their British heavyweight title clash on Saturday.

Clarke meets TKV for the vacant Lonsdale belt at the Vaillant Live in Derby, live on BBC Two.

Much of the needle between the pair has stemmed from their meeting being delayed a month after TKV pulled out of the original clash on October 25 through injury.

Clarke disputed the legitimacy of his rival’s injury at Thursday’s press conference and the animosity between them reached boiling point at Friday’s weigh in.

After Clarke weighed in five-and-a-half pounds heavier than the Londoner, the pair had a heated exchange as they faced off for the final time before their eagerly-anticipated battle.

“You’re getting done,” Clarke warned TKV.

“No more talking now.”

The 32-year-old fired back: “There ain’t more talking now.

“I’m gonna knock you out tomorrow.”

Clarke, the 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, responded: “You ain’t knocking s*** out.

“It’s time to f***ing see.”

The heavyweights continued their spiteful war of words, before security intervened to separate them from a potential melee on stage.

TKV is attempting to win the British belt at the second attempt after coming up short against David Adeleye in April, while Clarke looks to secure the strap at his third effort.

The 34-year-old drew with now-WBO heavyweight champion, Fabio Wardley in a bid for the British and Commonwealth crowns last March, before losing in a round in a rematch for the same belts last October.

The Burton man bounced back with a first round stoppage over Ebenezer Tetteh in April.

Saturday’s bill which also features an English welterweight title clash between Bobby Dalton and Joel Kodua, as well as the return of bantamweight prospect, Francesca Hennessy, marks BOXXER’s first show on the BBC.

The promotional company, which is headed by Ben Shalom, signed a deal with the terrestrial TV channel in August after their four-year contract with Sky Sports was not renewed.
