The Indian team is reportedly set to make 2 changes to the side that lost comprehensively by 10 wickets against Australia in Adelaide
The Indian team is set to make 2 massive changes to their playing XI for the 3rd Test which will be played in Brisbane from December 14. According to a report in the Indian Express, veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is set to be replaced by all-rounder Washington Sundar. The report also added that pacer Akash Deep might play in place of Harshit Rana.Â
There is also a possibility that the Men in Blue may lineup with 4 pacers as the pitch at The Gabba is expected to provide a lot of help for the seamers.
Rana did impress in the Perth Test by picking up 4 scalps, however he went wicketless across both innings in Adelaide. Akash Deep was also seen bowling proactively in the nets in Brisbane which means that there is a possibility that he can make a return to the playing XI.
Meanwhile, Australia announced 1 change in their side that triumphed over India by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval. They have replaced Scott Boland and brought back experienced pacer Josh Hazlewood into the lineup. The latter had missed the second Test due to a side strain.
India’s likely XI for 3rd Test: KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma (C), Rishabh Pant (WK), Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy Reddy, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj
