Vinod kambli accepts this proposal of World Cup winners set to go under….

Indian ex-cricketer Vinod Kambli has even said that he is prepared to undergo rehabilitation therapy with nearly failing health conditions.

Earlier he had been surrounded by controversy over a video that went viral of him clinging to the arm of Sachin Tendulkar during a public event. Now though, Kambli has gone on record stating that he was willing to go into rehabilitation to correct his health disorders.

“I’m ready to go for rehab. I really am. I want to go there because I don’t fear anything. My family is with me,” shared Kambli in an interview with Vickey Lalwani on YouTube.

Many former cricketers have come out to speak their opinion on Kambli’s deteriorating health condition and some have gone out to give him support while others have implied that he needs to help himself. Kambli himself said that the likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Ajay Jadeja have reached out to him in support.

“Gavaskar was the first one to talk to me,” he shared.

“Jadeja is a good friend of mine, he came to visit me and said, ‘Come on get up.’ Many people have contacted me in past days. Everybody saw me,” Kambli added. “So obviously they [BCCI] will,” he continued. “Abey Kuruvilla is with BCCI, he is staying in touch with me, and he also stays in touch with my wife,” he said.

The former India batter had no embarrassment regarding the confession that did get him in trouble due to alcohol but quickly clarified that he hasn’t had a booze for a single day.

“No, no. I had stopped drinking and smoking six months ago. Did it for the sake of my kids. I used to do it earlier, but I have left that stuff behind now,” said Kambli

Kambli played a total of 17 Tests and 104 ODIs in the nine-year-long international career for India. He debuted against Pakistan at sharjah in an ODI match on 18 October 1991 and played last international match against Sri Lanka.

He has scored 1084 runs from the five-day format of the game with an average of 54.20, and in 97 innings of 104 ODIs on behalf of Men in Blue, has scored a total of 2477 runs. Kambli holds the unique record that he is the fastest Indian batter to score 1000 runs in Test cricket. In fact, he crossed this mark, i.e. 1000 runs, in just the 14th inning of his 12th Test made.
