Sunday Night Football in Week 13 of the 2025 NFL season pits the Denver Broncos against the Washington Commanders. Denver is surging to the AFC West title at 9-2. The story has been much different for Washington, which comes in with a 3-8 record.

Let’s dive into my Broncos vs. Commanders predictions.

Denver Broncos vs. Washington Commanders odds

Money line: Broncos -310 / Commanders +250
Spread: Broncos -6 (-110) / Commanders +6 (-110)
Total: Over 43.5 (-110) / Under 43.5 (-115)

Denver Broncos vs. Washington Commanders best bet #1: Broncos -6 (-110)

Washington went all the way to the NFC Championship game last season. Well, 2024 ain’t walkin’ through that door. With much higher expectations at the beginning of this year compared to last, the Commanders have imploded. Injuries have not helped. Running back Austin Ekeler suffered a torn Achilles’ in Week 2, quarterback Jayden Daniels has missed much of the 2025 campaign, and the defense has been banged up. Daniels has been ruled out for Sunday due to a dislocated left elbow. Marcus Mariota is by no means the worst backup in the league, but he also does not inspire a whole lot of confidence — especially not against one of the NFL’s best defenses in Denver. Not only are the Commanders 3-8 SU, but they are also 3-8 ATS. Another loss against the spread is likely incoming.

That also has a lot to do with the opponent, as Denver has played stellar football pretty much this entire year. Head coach Sean Payton’s team is riding an eight-game winning streak. It ranks No. 3 in scoring defense — limiting opponents to 17.5 points per game — and is in the top five in basically every important defensive metric. Star cornerback Pat Surtain II is ready to return after missing three games with a partially torn pec, so that is a massive boost for the Broncos. After all, Surtain is the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Denver Broncos vs. Washington Commaders best player prop bet: Bo Nix Over 222.5 passing yards (-110)

Nix has surpassed this 222.5 quota — and with room to spare — in five of the last eight games. Those five productive outings saw him throw for at least 242 yards, including one 326-yard performance against Cincinnati. Nix most recently torched Kansas City for 295 yards in Week 11.

The Oregon product could be in line for an even bigger night at the Commanders’ expense. Washington’s passing defense is horrendous. It is No. 29 league wide in that department, allowing 249.5 yards per game. Head coach Dan Quinn’s squad is dead last — by a mile — in yards per pass attempt allowed at 8.8. The Commanders are also No. 31 in the NFL in overall defensive EPA.
