Stephanie Vaquer is known for being a calm, cool character on television, but the Chilean is earning a reputation for being a bit of a hothead in the ring. The WWE Women’s World Champion successfully defended her Title against her ex-friend, Nikki Bella, at Survivor Series. The match was one of the four underwhelming matches on the card. Much like the Men’s War Games Match, Stephanie Vaquer’s actual match itself wasn’t what got the crowd talking. It was the actions of the talent in it. Instead of Paul Heyman, La Primera is under scrutiny, as Stephanie Vaquer got mad at Nikki Bella during her match.
Stephanie Vaquer Gets Mad After Giving Nikki Bella A Devil’s Kiss
Perhaps no other move is more “over” in WWE than Stephanie Vaquer’s Devil’s Kiss. The high-impact move is known to get the crowd on their feet, and the camera gets a questionable view of Stephanie Vaquer’s assets. We’re sure Stephanie Vaquer’s boyfriend also enjoys a good Devil’s Kiss, too.
Nonetheless, Nikki Bella fell victim to the move when the Hall of Famer challenged Stephanie Vaquer for the Women’s World Title. As Stephanie Vaquer wrapped her legs around Nikki’s head and drove The Fearless One’s face into the mat, the Women’s Champion was getting noticeably agitated.
Finally, Stephanie Vaquer finished the onslaught and got up. It was clear that La Primera had a mad look on her face. Stephanie stared at Nikki for a moment, collecting herself. Then, the fuming Champion clenched her jaw as she got up and walked off some of her steam.
This isn’t the first time that Stephanie Vaquer has expressed anger with her opponent in the ring. Past footage of Roxanne Perez vs. Stephanie Vaquer shows that Nikki Bella did something that The Judgment Day star also did that upset Vaquer previously. It just so happens that the Devil’s Kiss also caused this miscommunication.
Stephanie Vaquer Wants Wrestlers to Take Devil’s Kiss on Their Knees
The source of Stephanie Vaquer’s anger was the fact that Nikki Bella took Devil’s Kiss flat on her stomach. We learned that was the cause of the Champion’s frustration when old footage surfaced of Stephanie Vaquer giving Roxanne Perez the Devil’s Kiss in NXT.
While Roxanne’s head is hitting the mat, you can audibly hear Stephanie Vaquer screaming, “Knees! Knees!” Roxanne would immediately fix her positioning to continue the move on her knees.
Nikki Bella didn’t get to her knees for the Devil’s Kiss. Therefore, the move didn’t look as effective. When a competitor is on their knees, they are more stable to push off the mat with their hands. This will give Stephanie more spring and take some pressure off her body to perform the move.
With Nikki Bella botching Stephanie Vaquer’s name (and her move), we’re wondering if La Primera is ready to move on to her next program.
