AEW star Chris Jericho joined Tim Weisberg WBSM 1420 AM where he mainly talked about his KISS cover band Kuarantine which is set to appear in New Bedford. However, towards the end of the interview, Weisberg asks Jericho about whether there is some wrestling in his 2026 future and here’s how the veteran star responded:
“Well, you never know, man. That’s the thing is, I’m not done yet. So, still figuring out everything and I’ll see where I end up. But I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026…in a wrestling ring somewhere.”
Earlier in the interview, Weisberg talked about how busy Jericho is in 2026 with Fozzy going on tour in the UK, his upcoming annual cruise and other things on his calendar.
“Yep, there always is. There are a lot more acting gigs coming up. There’s always things going on that kind of come across my plate. And it’s always cool to see, you know obviously there’s always wrestling stuff and there’s music stuff and there’s podcast stuff but when you get some of these other opportunities, like we said, to host a pilot about the cursed Bridgewater Triangle up in your area, that was fun as well, too.”
“You never know what’s going to be coming up for me, but it’s always busy. And, you know, even this week, the Kuarantine shows were going to be kind of the end of the year for me. And then another gig came up for me the following week to film some stuff for a show. So, it never ends and things happen. And when they happen, they happen quickly. So you just have to be ready to go. But the most important thing is I enjoy all of the stuff that I do. I love all the stuff that I do. And it’s always an honor to get a chance to live out these dreams and have these experiences.”
Jericho is believed to be in the last days of his AEW contract, which is reportedly set to expire later this month. Rumors have circulated that Jericho is strongly considering jumping back to WWE for what would likely be a retirement storyline. In AEW, he last appeared in April before stepping away and hasn’t been seen since though AEW President Tony Khan has stated on record multiple times that he hopes Jericho will be back with the company in the future.
