Jay Shah posts picture from “fantastic meeting”
On 11 July, Shah shared a picture on X, showcasing his meeting with Tatum. The prestigious NBA championship trophy was prominently placed between them, symbolizing the potential for future collaborations and shared growth.
Shah’s post highlighted the positive outlook and anticipation surrounding the partnership between BCCI and NBA.
“Had a fantastic meeting with Mark Tatum, the NBA Deputy Commissioner. It was great meeting you, Mark, and sharing knowledge. Exciting times ahead for the @NBA and @BCCI,” tweeted Shah.
Changes in BCCI as Gautam Gambhir assumes position
As team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid has ended his tenure in style. Dravid was one of the main men as the Indian cricket team won the prestigious ICC T20 World Cup 2024 championship. Dravid got replaced by Gautam Gambhir, another ex player from the same team.
Gambhir was a key player in India’s World Cup victories in 2007 and 2011. As Gautam Gambhir assumes his position as the team’s head coach, he is bound to bring changes in the supporting staff. It is a rule that every head coach gets to choose their own supporting staff.
While BCCI has rejected Gambhir’s suggestions of the bowling coach and fielding coach, T Dilip is speculated to continue as team India’s fielding coach. With so many shifts in the team, it will be interesting to see how the collaboration of BCCI and NBA will play out in the future.
