A wild rumor about John Cena returning to WWE after December 2025 needs to be debunked. The legend’s most recent match was at Survivor Series 2025. In San Diego, The Cenation Leader put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dominik Mysterio. However, Cena failed to retain the gold due to Liv Morgan’s return.
Recently, a rumor suggested that The Never Seen 17 would return to WWE after his farewell match. This buzz claimed that Cena has been advertised for the post-WrestleMania 42 episode of RAW on April 21. However, the graphic is clearly old, as the date mentioned on the poster is for the flagship show after WrestleMania 41. This advertisement features Cena’s appearance on RAW as the Undisputed WWE Champion after dethroning Cody Rhodes in Las Vegas earlier this year.
The Monday Night RAW following WrestleMania 42 will air on April 20, the day after WrestleMania Sunday (April 19).
RAW Star Put John Cena On Notice
LA Knight defeated Jey Uso in the semifinal round of the Last Time Is Now tournament. The Megastar is scheduled to face GUNTHER in the tournament final on the upcoming edition of SmackDown.
After this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, Knight issued a warning to John Cena. In a video on Twitter, the former United States Champion said,
“Last time is now. My last time ain’t now tonight was maybe the next the last time. It was the next, the next, the last time. Soon enough, somebody’s last time very well might be John Cena’s. As a matter of fact, win-lose withdrawal, it is gonna be John Cena’s.”
“But I tell you what we do know, we know that I’m going to continue to make that climb. I’m going to make that ascension to the top. And whether it’s through John Cena or anybody else, you’ll see me, and the whole damn world will see me with everybody saying LA Knight, YEAH!”
