Sky Hogan Denies Ric Flair’s Claims About Hulk’s Death » TWNP-Wrestling News

As we reported here, WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair claimed that he spoke to the late Hulk Hogan the day before he died in his Florida home. Ric Flair recalled that Hulk Hogan was in excruciating pain following multiple surgeries and an infection. Despite Hulk Hogan’s medical need for pain medicine, Ric Flair claimed doctors denied the former nWo leader any prescriptions. The Nature Boy alleged that Hulk Hogan turned to street drugs, which led to the WWE Hall of Famer’s death. Now, Hulk Hogan’s wife speaks out. Sky Hogan denies Ric Flair spoke to Hulk Hogan in a report from TMZ. Here’s the latest on Ric Flair’s claims about Hulk Hogan’s death!

Sky Hogan Denies Hulk Hogan Took Street Drugs

Hulk Hogan’s autobiography noted that the former WWE Champion has dabbled in recreational and performance-enhancing drugs in the past. While Hulk Hogan was the spokesperson for Real American Beer, he no longer turned to narcotics for pain or recreation.

When TMZ asked Sky Hogan about Ric Flair’s claims that Hulk Hogan died from street drugs, the widow was abrupt.

The only  was:

“That didn’t happen at all.”

While that was the only official quote from Sky Hogan to TMZ, the media outlet continued its conversation with the widow. TMZ then summarized some of Sky’s sentiments, bringing more about Hulk Hogan’s final days to light.

Sky Hogan Explains Hulk Hogan’s Medications Prior to His Death

A lot of mystery surrounded the seemingly sudden death of Hulk Hogan. In fact, both Hulk Hogan’s daughter and wife questioned the rush for cremation of the former WWE World Champion. That said, Sky Hogan was able to order Hulk Hogan’s autopsy.

There are still rumblings that a wrongful death suit from Hulk Hogan’s estate may be filed against doctors or a hospital. However, there is nothing conclusive about Sky Hogan’s next steps regarding Hulk Hogan’s tragic death.

With so many rumors surrounding Hulk Hogan’s death, Sky Hogan wanted to clear the air about one thing. The Immortal One wasn’t taking street drugs for pain, as Ric Flair alleged.

TMZ summarized their conversation with Sky Hogan without using any direct quotes,

“Sky said the only changes to Hogan’s medication came following his neck procedure to ensure whatever he was taking did not impact his lungs.”

TMZ did note that Sky believes Ric was mistaken or misunderstood something he was told. Two other family members backed Sky Hogan’s assertions, noting that Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan were good friends. That said, Sky Hogan did reveal something else suspicious about Ric Flair’s fraudulent claims about Hulk Hogan’s drug use.

Sky Hogan Denies Ric Flair Spoke to Hulk Hogan the Day Before His Death

During Ric Flair’s interview with Doubl3 Coverage, the former good friend of Hulk Hogan claimed that he spoke to Hulk Hogan the day before he died.

The Nature Boy recalled,

“I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs.

When the doctor wouldn’t prescribe anymore, he was in so much pain. Then he had a neck surgery and got infected.”

According to Hulk Hogan’s widow, the late in-ring rival of Ric Flair didn’t speak to The Nature Boy the day before he died.

TMZ debunked Ric Flair’s claims by stating,

“Sky — who also denied Flair spoke to Hulk the day before his death — went on to say the icon was under constant care of the Morton Plant Hospital in Florida … so Naitch had to have been either misinformed or misunderstood.”

It looks like the Hogan family is giving Ric Flair the benefit of the doubt. However, their denial seemed to upset Slick Ric.

Ric Flair Gets Upset with Sky Hogan?

As he’s shown earlier this year with his war of words with Jim Ross, AEW’s Ric Flair isn’t known to bite his tongue. The Nature Boy admitted that he was wrong and shouldn’t have said anything. However, he did have a few choice words for Hulk Hogan’s widow.

As you can see, he addressed Sky directly after she corrected his allegations. While Ric did admit that he shouldn’t have said anything, he ended the public apology with deflection. He called the criticisms of his errant claims “negative energy.”

Finally, Ric turned it around toward just wanting to remember Hulk Hogan’s legacy. The Nature Boy was trying to get the heat off of himself, while trying to lighten the fact that he had to own up to the mishap. Either way, it looks like Sky Hogan is more than willing to let bygones be bygones with Ric Flair.
