Klunking ain’t easy, and this one ain’t cheap.
Harkening back to the simpler times of coaster brakes and one perfect gear, the Stinner Klunker is a declaration that bikes are supposed to be fun. Which raises makes me wonder if the average, modern mountain biker takes themselves too seriously and has it too easy. I don’t think so. But the simplicity and vibe of this Klunker has be itching to do more underbiking this winter.
The frame and fork are hand-fabricated in-house from straight-gauge titanium, which offers a delightful ride quality that will last a lifetime of skids, curb hops, and beer runs. The build kit features only the best US-made components from legendary brands. The White Industries hub, Thomson stem, Velocity rims, and S&M bars and cranks all come together to make a seriously deluxe yet simple machine.
While the frame will last a lifetime, the availability of the bikes won’t. The order window opens on Thursday, Dec 4th, with 20 production slots available for the lucky few who want to own a piece of modern history. Each deposit will receive a special Stinner Token, commemorating the Klunker as a holiday placeholder till the complete bike arrives in spring 2026.
