The South African “Protea” esports team kitted out in purple kit at WEC25 as a symbol of solidarity for ending Gender-Based Violence in South Africa have a last gasp on 5 December 2025 at IESF’s WEC25 for the MLBB esports title.
Having lost to both Turkiye an Iran, the Open Protea Esports Team for the MLBB title take on Malaysia. It should be noted that every team in this group is a professional team.
Malaysia won the WEC24 and will indeed prove to be ha hard nut to crack.
Thus, the Protea Team, all of which are amateurs, will do battle against hardened professionals in a clash which will see if those who are not fully employed to play can defeat those that are.
Nevertheless, all Sojuth Africa is rallying around our beloved team, a team which has the bravery, dedication, and fortitude of the bravest of South Africans.
