The Chicago Bears got off to a rough start on offense against the Green Bay Packers as both teams are renewing their legendary NFL rivalry on Sunday at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis.
One Bears player who has been trying to get involved but has failed to make an impact is wide receiver DJ Moore.
What’s The Latest On Bears WR DJ Moore?
Bears quarterback Caleb Williams hasn’t had much luck in running the Chicago offense against a Packers’ defense anchored by Micah Parsons.
In fact, it’s the Bears’ defense that has stepped up, especially with this interception of a pass from Packers quarterback Jordan Love by C.J. Gardner-Johnson.

But, where is Moore? He’s been on the field for some time, and as the game enters the third quarter, Moore has one reception for a loss of four yards. He has been targeted twice by Williams’ passes, but it has not been a good start for the wide receiver.
In the third quarter at Lambeau Field, Green Bay held a 14-3 lead after scoring a late touchdown in the second quarter.
According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Moore has an impact score of 72.2 and grades out to a C-.
What about his Bears’ wide-receiving teammates? Luther Burden III has an impact score of 77.7 and grades out to a C+. Rome Odunze has an impact score of 76.3 and grades out to a C, and Olamide Zaccheaus has an impact score of 65.3 and grades out to a D.
Moore was a first-round draft pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers out of Maryland. He spent his first five seasons with the Panthers before joining the Bears in the 2023 NFL season. In his career, Moore has 596 catches for 8,033 yards and 38 touchdown catches.
He has had four 1,000-yard seasons as a wide receiver, demonstrating to his teams that he’s invaluable to their offensive plans. Additionally, Moore can be a threat when running the ball, too. In his career, Moore has 71 carries for 498 yards and two rushing touchdowns.
Moore probably hopes that the second half is much better for him against the Packers. But he got into it with a Packers defender in the first half, simply showing how much emotions run high when the Bears and Packers duke it out on the field.
