Hockey East announced Monday morning that Merrimack junior forward Luke Weilandt has been suspended for one game, stemming from a cross-checking major and game misconduct assessed after the final buzzer of Saturday’s contest at UConn.
As a result, Weilandt will be ineligible to suit up on Friday, December 12, when the Warriors host Yale. He will be eligible to return to the lineup on Saturday, December 13, against Long Island University.
Weilandt has appeared in eight games this season.
